Allie began her practice of yoga, in 2006, after she was involved in a traumatic car accident. She found that yoga and meditation was an excellent way to handle pain both physically and emotionally. It was on a trip to Thailand the following year, that solidified her interest in yoga for therapeutic healing. In 2011 she left the corporate world and moved to Switzerland with her husband and two dogs. This is when she began to pursue her passion. After meeting her teacher,Stephen Thomas in Zurich, Switzerland she began to take an in depth look at her practice and accompanied him on a retreat to Bali. It was in Bali that she decided to pursue this passion not only for herself but to teach to others. The following November she completed a 200 hour intensive teacher training program at Samahita Retreat Center in Koh Samui, Thailand. Allie became pregnant in early 2013 at which point she began looking for complementary practices. She decided to enroll in an 80 hour prenatal yoga training with Sue Elkind, founder of DIG yoga. The journey through pregnancy and birth brought her the closest to her practice. It brought a new found awareness of not only her body but truly understanding her limits. Allie is currently enrolled in the 500 hour advanced teacher training with Tiffany Cruikshank, founder of Yoga Medicine. Yoga has become a lifestyle choice for Allie and brings her much happiness and joy in her daily life.It is her hope to share this experience with others through her classes, one on one private sessions and workshops. Allie currently teaches prenatal, restorative, pranayama, myofascial release, and a strong hatha/vinyasa style of yoga.
